MMO GUIDELINES

GENERAL ETIQUETTE

POLITE BEHAVIOUR FOR ALL TO ENJOY

WHAT IS ACCEPTIBLE BEHAVIOUR?

For the MMO veteran, these things should go without saying. However, people who are newer to this gaming scene might not realize that what their doing is driving others mad.

Harvest nodes, chests, and heavy sacks are accessible to all. If you see another player approach it first, there will always be another. If you see a player trying to approach it and then get into a fight, do not swipe it from them.

1.

Chests and sacks are shared in group dungeons. If you spot one, announce it in the group chat with a simple "chest", "heavy" or "hs" to let others know. At the end of the dungeon, link any equipment you don't need to other group members. This gear cannot be traded outside of the current group so typically it's given for free.

2.

If you decide to join a group for a delve, dungeon or trial do your best to be on time and finish it. Leaving the group or keeping them waiting creates a problem for the rest of the team members.

3.

Make sure to look up information before asking. A quick search online will save you and others time.

4.

If you're trying to trade or sell through zone chat avoid spamming it. It's best to message that zone then move to another chat and send a message there. Anyone interested will send you a private message.

5.

Don't join a dungeon with a role you are unable to fill just to get in faster, regardless of the dungeon's level or difficulty.

6.

DONT TYPE IN ALL CAPS TO GET YOUR POINT ACROSS.

7.

Take all items from nodes, chests, and thieves guild containers. They don't respawn if everything is not taken and are adjusted to your level. Therefore, if you just 'look' into the chest on a low-level character, and don't take everything, the next person that sees it might think they're lucky, but only end up getting low-level items. Same goes for nodes.

8.

Don't start boss fights unless you're the tank; always make sure everyone is present for the boss fight.

9.

If you're able, resurrect your group mates. Even DPS (damage dealers) can stop for a moment to rez a group member.

10.

If you join a guild and they give access to their guild bank, only take what you need. Never sell anything you took, and always try to deposit roughly the same value of items as what you are removing.

11.

If someone crafts for you, it is good manners to tip them a small fee and provide materials. Some people craft free for new players, but it's different when you're crafting for someone who can afford to pay.
